You can definitely hear things while you are asleep,
they are just processed a little different. Often
these noises will actually be incorporated into your
dreams.

It would make sense to me the songs that have more
of an illusionary nature would still have an effect.
Though, I could easily be wrong. This is one way
someone could justify it.
