Well, it is almost useless for exploring now since many new areas have mobs (not unique mobs mind you, just the run of the mill one in every room mobs) that see duo and can kill you before you get a command in. So if duo can kill you, why would you explore with it? So, yes, it can get you out of trouble, but so can word, and when your REALLY in trouble i.e. nightgaunt, frightful fiend, you can't word because of swarm, your poisoned or crimson scourged, trying to duo to get away will surely get you killed.
Seems like everytime they implement something new, they screw arcanes.
