Thanks for the help to those who have responded to this. So far, all have said something along the lines that Agorinth was prepared and surprised Harandor by summoning, therefore Agorinth had the upper hand. But, it would appear that Harandor _was_ prepared: he was just quaffing a misty potion as he was summoned, so seemed to know what was going to happen; AND, based on what we see unravelling via the dispel magic, Harandor had all of his protective spells up, including some very nice extras from potions/transmuter friends.
SO, it appears that Harandor was well-prepared for the fight, but it was being off balance via Agorinth's "special armor/quest/leader skills" that may have made the difference. Either that, or Harandor was lagged by his connection. I just can't imagine a hero storm-giant not knowing to wrath...and this is what bugs me about the encounter.
If it really is a matter of the trip lagging him, then ok. But that seems too easy....?
