90% of all battles are won or lost by being prepared. You could easily kill even Istendil if you caught him without wraithform and his other goodies. So, I am not even going to consider the few times you get luckly and wait at a recall point for someone to appear. More power to you if you do that, I sure as hell will not.

But....I bet in a dual, a fire giant shaman against a thief, the shaman would win 99% of the time just with normal magics and communes they can get in the game and not quest stuff.

My question is why doesn't this shaman die more often? He seems totally over confident in almost everything he does. I guess there is a lack of thief/arcane mutters running around these days.
