Anyone who's been playing cf long enough knows that this mud used to be much much more simple. As far as all the new skills and ablities coding and such goes, I think its all for the better. As for the cabals though, I think it was better how it was. It used to be justice/entropy, master/battle, and shadow/knight after knights were made. Every cabal had a good number of people, and they were against one other cabal, for the most part. This simplicity kept any one cabal from becoming a powerhouse, because they wouldn't go out gangbanging and raiding everyone. Every once in a while, someone would help someone else, but it was simple. You look at the pk wars on the cf web page, and they're set up with the opposite cabals above and below each other. Even though masters is at war with sylvan, battle, and empire. And empire is at war with everyone, and battle is at war with masters and empire, etc. My theory is that if the cabals were somehow put back to a one on one fight, things would become much more fun to play and you wouldn't see so many people having multiple characters and switching when people from one cabal logged on.
