"D)I believe you're one of the anti-forum, anti-webpage, elitist type folks that wishes to maximize their
own playing enjoyment by holding down the newer folks by keeping them from information that you
have been privvy to for so long. Cf has had webpages for quite some time, now is not the time to tear
them down simply because you've learned everything there is to learn from them and hence wish to be
one of the elite by not letting anybody else learn from them."

I have to disagree for the most part. I do like the item lists of common equipment. I like the maps of
cities. However, I think you're misinterpeting the intention of those that don't want the "secrets" of
CF to be openly discussed. One of my best experiences with CF has been discovering a lesser known piece
of equipment. I know every time I go there, I can find this piece of equipment. And *I* did it. Things
like this (exploring) are what make CF fun. By trying to make public every aspect of CF, it seems
you are trying to make "power" the focus of CF.

I agree entirely that the newbies should be helped. They need to be able to survive. And you say,
"If you don't want to read it, don't read it"
How does the newbie know whats a game secret and whats common knowledge? The players are supposed to
reveal the common knowledge, not the secrets. And after the secrets are all out in the open, what
is left to do?

Besides, often when its right there, we want to read it. I remember some logs on the forum involving
huge fights with mobs in Hell. I've never been to Hell, and I wish now I hadn't even read them.

This applies to cabal powers, etc too. I remember the first time I saw "the shadow of ------" pop
up. It was fascinating. I think if I had known Shadow to have this power, it would have taken away
alot. And I would have tried to learn about it if I could have.

Often when class, cabal powers, etc are posted somewhere, they are misunderstood, wrong, or incomplete,
and taken for absolute truth. The newbies are the ones getting hurt when they find out later it isn't
so. They don't experiment and discover for themselves, perhaps even discovering things other people
didn't know.

I don't want all of these types of things posted because I'm trying to encourage others to roleplay
(by interacting in the game) and explore.

Does any of this make sense?

Hutto, more sleepy thoughts
