Now why were they attacking the ranger? Did you guys have a cabal item? Is he in another cabal? Were any of his groupmates in the other cabal? Did you really think he would not attack you if he was killing the ranger? Try talking to a necro like that next time. I bet you find yourself a little sleepy. I mean do you really think an imperial citizen will stop to talk a filthy woodsman? I am sure they will be more than willing to talk after you are dead. Just say, My life, my heart, my soul for the Empire. Sorta like the Indian Wars of the old West. Kill the indians and ask question laters.
Bottom line, you have to know who and what you are dealing with before you try and talk.
