What would be the difference between a Paladin and a LG Shaman then?

Personally, as a big player of Paladins, I see them as I nice balance between the Crusading aspects of a Holy Warrior, with wrath, charge, and such and the Clerical aspects of a Holy Warrior, with sanc, healing, sanctify room, ect.

That's what a Medeval Paladin was. A warrior who tempered his acts of War with a religious obligation to help others. In the idealistic sence, anyways.
