warrior and a shaman isn't nearly as dire as
you seem to portray. Properly equipped and
prepared, the shaman should more or less be
dead by the time he even comes close to
removing your weapons. Now, a Lich might be
a different story, but that's another matter
entirely. Even better, if you've gotten your
hands on certain things which I won't mention,
the shaman could never take your weapons down
with maladictions. If you're unclear, I can
email you with it later. And no, a smart
shaman properly prepared can't be bashed or
tripped, but can likely be disarmed (barring
a noremove weapon), or offhand disarmed to
get rid of his shield, perhaps giving you
enough free hits on him to make up the
difference. Even with Sanctuary and
Protection, and a lot of +hp gear for the
shaman, I'd still call it far from a decided
fight.
ragers and masters. Having been involved in
none of these fights, I can't really comment
on the comparative strengths of the powers,
or the effectiveness or lack thereof with
regards to invokers against these new rager
powers. However, it does seem to me that the
battleragers are rabidly abusing their rules
with regards to courage and such.. I can't
recall how many times in the recent times
I've had some ragers come up and try to gang
a warrior of mine for no apparent reason,
without even having spells active on me.
I also agree with Diarmuid/Graatch's assertion
that things tend to be overly powerful when
they first come in, and need to be toned down
somewhat. This seems to have been the case
with most of the class improvements, with
conjurers, and so forth, even as far back as
shamans and healers. (Druids originally were
the lone exception, but when their shapeforms
were added, they became too powerful).
