Don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to say I had no chance of beating a shaman, ever. I beat Kah once out of like 6 times, I think. But that was largely due to him having a poor link, I think. As for the certain things you won't mention, keep in mind I'm talking in a force duel, I got my ass handed to me. So if you're thinking of what I think you're thinking, it isn't really an option (especially since I almost always got blinded first).

Speaking of being blinded first, there goes disarm/offhand. I did do that, however, whenever I could. Most of the time that was all I could do, however. As for your comment that they should be dead by the time they got everything off, remember that I was fighting a fire shaman, so beyond sanc and protection, he had size and giant resist. I'd hit him for like 8 lower case devastates a round if I was lucky. That was with kickass gear.

If there WAS a fight that I had no chance of winning, ever, it was when I fought Zharradam. He challenged me, and me, being honordude, I accepted. I knew he'd be fully spelled up, so I did the same, with a white herb-sanc and a haste from you-know-what and ran in to FD him. I got the FD off, and he sat there with his 2K hp and slowed me, slowed me again, dispelled my sanc (and golden and giant str), scourged twice, and mental knifed me to death. I had him at bleeding wounds at best, I think. He had spiderhands up so no disarm, he was hasted and wielding a staff so I didn't hit him much once I was slowed, and then when he weakened me enough that my swords went, it was over.

So don't get me wrong, I'm not bitching. I never did bitch (or I tried not to) about losing, and I lost a lot. I won a lot, too, though. More than I lost (at least to pks), I'd wager. I was just making a point that each class/cabal has someone who can take them down pretty damn easily, and it's part of the balance of things.
