They're scary, and fun to play. It's fun as all hell to spell someone up and know they're going to die. But they're awfully squishy, like pasty white little worms when you're hunting them, and they're hard as hell to rank.

Personally, I have *huge* respect for anyone who's ranked a necromancer to 47 without cheating/multicharing with buddies. I spent hours and hours perfecting spells, but the sheer mind numbingness of finding groups and having so little to contribute to ranking -- it's not fun. Dunno. I'd hate to be slept by a necro, but then, I'd hate to be a necro I was hunting and got the jump on, too.
