Gear has nothing to do with transform, and I think the highest most masters will ever have from transform is around 1800...

> 2 half the mages by the time of hero can t be bashed.. so you can spam spells.

Bash no...Trip, no, not if flying. Thrown, yes, cheap shotted yes
> 3 spell bane? perfect your spells it helps.. that s what masters do anyways..

no arguement there...level comparison I think is more important
> 4 Scourge.. Weak blind poion, and come on it hurts... what more do you want.

weapon resist as powerful as spellbane. *snicker*

> 5 wands.. a average mage with spell armor and good gear can hit -150 or so

True, very true, but only 1 in 5 or so masters now know where to get them all, and most of them take help getting.

> a muter with stone skill or eating the fillet of damn fish is another -40

actually stoneskin and a fillet will be more like -60 - -80

> shields this shield that that s like -250 easy .. very easy...

Yup...invoker shields are great...why dont you roll up one, play for over 200 hours, then you can enjoy them.

> 6 not to mention all the spells that can mess up a battle rager

Thus far I have found that the only way spells can harm most ragers is if the mage is of a higher level.

> 7 aside from you, everyone attacks ragers.. unless they have a good rep for skilled fighter and really good gear.

This was a bit silly. Ragers are supposed to love fighting. So being attacked all the time should be welcomed.

> then you have the whole Empire after you. no time for the masters..

Well...dont forget that the masters arent all that lovey dovey with the Empire...no...wait they are in open warfare...hrmmm

> 8 its fricking easy to flee as a mage.. if you don t then you are a moron. ( this is false under rank 30 of course..)

Well...thrown, tripped (unless flying), and cheapshot can ruin this lil one.
but yes, MOST of the time it is easy...

> I played a mage so i know it s easy to get away....

1 on 1 perhaps. Depending on the mage class

> then again mages are cowards, especially conjurers.. now that nightgraunts are not as tough. they start bitching

again silly. I find it difficult to call anyone a coward that defends against odds of 4 to 1 or even worse. If anything that is showing large round masculine balls. Hell, besides, we arent trying to be courageous,we just want to learn out chosen class.

> what do you want, sit around all day on your ass and wait for some mob to do your dirty work?

Again...silly. The amount of time it takes to get a mage class to the point they can do this is huge, and the work it takes damn large too.

> why don t you hire some people to play CF for you, pay them so you have insane hero gear and perfect everything...

Dont know where this came from.

> get off your ass

Have you ever heroed a mage? Sitting on your ass does little except get yourself a wee bit dead.

> 10 lastly play a Battle Rager eh? and see how many people want you dead.

Again...this shouldnt be a problem...Ragers thirst for the thrill of battle. The more the better.

> for an easier time, when ask about when type of rager.. you want to be
> pick the one with deathblow so you can kill everyone

If you can kill everyone, then why are you complaining that you are having trouble as a rager?

My basic point of my post wasnt to start a pissing contest between whether or not it is easier to play a rager or a master. We all have our ideas on that.

Mages are difficult. Some more difficult than others at different times. If played well they all have the potential to kick ass...if played wrong, the usually start to resemble something left on a firegiants doormat.

Ive played both now...though I have had more experience with warriors/assassins. And I now respect hero level mages a bit more. This is a bit stereotypical, but to see a hero level invoker, even if they cant RP for shit, and they die constantly, if they have all their shields that means they spent a hell of a lot of time, spamming, practicing, ect. I know, it is boring. Takes patience. To me that is respectable. TO see a hero warrior...well, he just got into good groups...this doesnt apply to all, just most.

But in the end...it comes down to the individual. And that is what matters. If being a master is too boring for you, too violent, too stiff, then dont play one. IF being a rager bothers you, then likewise, avoid them. Its a game, lets all have fun.
