Quoting the ponderer.. a few posts ahead of this on the same string

"I believe he's referring to Ahvlannon, an elven sylvan warrior who referred to himself as Blade-singer. Whether or not he had a quest skill of the same name or not I don't know. It has something to do with a book I haven't read I think. I figure he was another sylvan that took his role from a book, but I could be wrong."

That is what the blade song refers to. He was mistaken on a few points though. The blade song was not take from a book (it may have originally, but Ahvlannon didn't). There is an area on the mud which makes reference to this skill.

As for the effects of knowing the blade song, I'm not sure. I was a warder along with Ahvlannon, and grouped with him often, yet I never saw him do anything that was above and beyond the capabilities of normal warrior (although he did fight like a rabid demon.. not your typical elven push over). I'll tell you that he DID often dual wield swords, and he was specialized in them. He often spoke of the blade song, and even mentioned where it was to be found on more than one occasion (so I don't think it's that big of a secret).

Take what you know about this person (Ahvlannon) and where he most likely would have visited (or grown up) and you have a good place to start looking for the blade song.

Now, if that isn't a hard enough punch in the nose, I don't know what is. I'd tell you the exact area to go look, or even which mobs to go talk to, but I'm afraid this may be related to quest information, and wouldn't want to spoil the fun.

...Rome....
