I was well equiped and Septach still managed to kill me(admittedly he rotted me and i con-died, we'd fought four or five times at this point...him always fleeing). Carry "+ con" gear. Since he is a shaman, "+ str" too. All warriors suffer the same trials as you did, and thus, all smart warriors carry this kind of gear. I need a way to fend them off so that they won't come back. The conflict with Septach was eye-opening simply because i was talking to him the entire time we fought, and i couldn't help but point out that despite my skills and equipment, i could do almost nothing to effectly get rid of him. There was no way around it... Your problems seem to be a class on class problem, and I'm thinking that rather than beefing up your cabal powers, maybe you could beef up some new strategies. I've played a few warriors and I've killed a few shamans/necros/masters. I have zero doubt that it can be done. Good luck. Amergin
Stun? You're a sword/hth I guess. Is stun perfected? Stun him. Maybe his protective shield will fall. Maybe his sanc. He can't fly, naturally. Maybe that, a potion-derived spell will fall. When he wakes, bash/trip him.
