The purpose was knowing exactly who I was seeing and having the advantage of knowing whether it might be a good idea to flee... Using an "echo" option in my mud client, the output looks something like this: > whois [someone] > Ever though of having voice commands on CF? > I always thought it would be funny to scream > Triggers are in my opinion, useful for some things, > Example: > Casting spells with long names, or people with > Making it so you automatically fight someone, etc, > Thoughts... > Ipsisimus(VIP)
While talking to a friend, I mentioned I was trying to implement a set of "information triggers", and he said that I was cheating. I thought I'd ask what you all think about a trigger that only serves to give extra information to you. For example, I recently made a couple hundred triggers with, for example, "the Stealer", in them, which would print out the appropriate rank.
[ Elf ] [someone] the Baron of Storms
** Rank 32 Warrior **
Useful trick, or unfair advantage?
