I thoroughly enjoy the role of an arbiter, but never again will I play one that applies at an early age. Ranking as an arbiter is a pain in the ass of all asses. Rank to 51, then apply, that's the name of the game. I like arbiters because of the possibility of interaction. You get to interact freely with possible criminals, other arbiters, barons, and so forth. Arbiters are really all about communication, at least the good arbiters are. The chase is also a great thing. My FAVORITE part about playing an arbiter is the personal test of chasing somebody that knows the land. Most people run to obvious places and thus aren't fun to chase. But man, when you get somebody running through Ysigrath like it's their hometown, that's fun, especially when you catch them.
