If an assassin has truly taught himself to be a master of the unseen, he would know how to maneuver around the tree so that the ranger looking for him would never see him. While the ranger camoed must stay motionless, and may be stepped upon.
I think maybe if an assassin has perfected hide and sneak, then rangers shouldn't be able to see them.
