Rangers are to the forests as thieves are to the cities. Assassins are in the middle.

If a ranger can't camo in the city (visible for thieves and assassins), why wouldn't thieves and assassins be visible to the ranger in the forest? If you don't want rangers to see you, stay out of the forests.
