Reading through what you have written, I don't
find much in the way of substance. Is this
meant as a forboding warning to us? Or is it
just you venting some frustration at something
you believe to be immortal cheating? I'm not
sure since you don't really say. You just have
a Faulkneresque stream-of-consciousness ramble
about the wrongness of hypocrisy and and your
belief in the Immortals' arrogance about foisting
strict rules upon everyone else and not ourselves.

If you perceive this last note to you as being
somewhat more harsh and less in the spirit of
constructive criticism that you intended and
that has been reciprocated, it's because I
strongly dislike people who make very
serious accusations and then cop out on them.
It's like saying you can take Michael Jordan
one-on-one in basketball, but follow it by
saying you don't want to show him up -- just
know that you can.

We do our best to make sure the Immortals
follow the rules strictly -- even more strictly
than we expect mortals to do. We also force
the immortals to shy away from situations that
would even have the appearance they were doing
something wrong.

As I've written and said ad nauseum before, if
you believe an Immortal has in some way cheated,
send an email to the IMPs and we'll investigate
and take care of any problem that actually occurred.
If the problem is with one of the IMPs, send
an email to the other IMPs about the matter.
If you have a problem with more than one IMP,
we suggest you either deal with it or find
another place to play.

> I am not going to attempt to make individual accusations, based on second hand information, or based on things I’ve seen myself. The purpose of this whole series of e-mails is to solve problems, not insult people or to give me an opportunity to act like an asshole. That being said, I do, however, feel justified in making the following statement, based on what myself and others have seen over the past several years.

> Immortal cheating exists and occurs often enough to cause problems.

> Hypocrisy is the fastest and most assured way of loosing moral authority. The rules you have against cheating are fair and should be enforced but if you don’t live up to your own standards, people will feel justified in breaking the rules since the enforcers of these rules, the Imms, don’t follow them either. It is arrogant, in a way, to expect others to follow rules that one does not follow themselves and probably does a good deal in explaining why the image of your Immortal staff and the respect given to you has suffered as of late. You would be surprised to discover how much knowledge, of what you do, filters down to us.

> I’m not going to say anymore on this topic other than I strongly recommend that you endeavor to cleanse corruption and nepotism in your staff and hold yourselves to the same standards that you enforce on others. Doing so will improve your image in the playerbase, give you moral authority and respect, and go a long way in re-establishing credibility in the eyes of the players.
