very short. On my own, at the giant, I'd say Ismail runs one
of the highest risks of dying to me if he tries for the orb,
because I did do good damage to him, even with barrier. It takes
me few enough rounds that if the giant blocks him fleeing a couple
of times, he can die. An invoker with all shields up takes considerably
less damage, and has more time to escape. No reverting before recall
either, not sure if there is any delay on that. It frustrates me that

recover with the right preparations, still will not come and try.
hours. A master with gold can heal himself and return very quickly.
Alone, I'm forced to wait for you to come, or risk you getting to the
giant when I'm off somewhere else. Villagers spend hoardes of time
waiting for enemies to arrive. Assassins can sneak around and hope
you think they're waiting for you, but I can't.
you can put him in a position that he cannot escape if he tries.
Halt/hold has a chance without spellbane, Conjurers with elementals
can possibly get me with a successful lash or two in a row and the
golem blocking my way. Invokers maybe can't make me stick around there
as well, but their spells that stun can do some real nice damage.
And, quicksand outside the giant is invaluable on raids or if you were
defending the citadel. Ghouls and golems can lag you out, getting slept

try for the head if only one person opposed me.
are higher, as a hero, to every possible class in battle than the risks to
any mage hero. Your home is on the river, where no one can hide and water
forms can be used. All this considered, I know few battle heros who don't
take at least one shot at the golem, and most refuse to leave until the head
has been recovered or they've died several times.
unafraid to die. I realize most complaints and "Ragers are overpowered!" logs
come from and about low level characters. I would perhaps agree villagers are
a bit much at low levels, I don't think that's true as a hero. I also think
rager heros adhere much more closely to our ideals.
