Like most things in life, AC has advantages as well as disadvantages. In the winter, it is most likely a wasted expense. You can also avoid AC all together if you stay in colder climates, like the mountains or the northern forests. If, however, you venture to the desert, you will appreciate your AC very much. It is also a must if you spend time in the busy cities during the summer months.
