(Rooqweaz): >Cyradia said: it is a myth: "you only need a role when you do something wierd" I said: it is "truth": "you have to write.. when your RP is unclear" > first of all, her proposition is negative > doing something wierd != you RP is unclear (for imm whom you talk) Clown Bake says: It is easy to try to quantify your reasonings when you take only bits and pieces of what someone said/says and mold it to fit what you think or want them to say. You are still missing the point. Look at What Cyradia says yet again: (Cyradia) I, and many other immortals, have discussed the topic until we're blue in the face and I don't think anybody, anywhere, came close to saying, "you only need a role if you're doing something really weird." Very disappointing that people believe it and feel the need to tell people that on a forum...but I give up." Clown Bakes' interpretation: None of the Immortals that she discussed roles with agree that the only time you need a role is when you try to do something against the norm. She goes on to say that more or less a portion of CF (and you) seem to think otherwise. It does not get any more clear-cut than that Rooqweaz no matter how you try to slice and dice it. Now I do not get where you are going with the negative and positive propositions but I really do not see the point in it. You should have a role if your character is doing something "wierd" and it is a good idea to have a role if you are playing a normal character. Stop trying to compare apples with oranges especially when you only have a barrel of apples.
