What he did (and I do, and almost everyone else does) have a problem with is the semi-sick sylvan pk powers (heh, thats a mouthful). Not the person, not the game, not the rp, but if you can't admit that sylvans skills are supremely badass and rock house, then go play empire or some other cabal and prepare to get rocked. His point, or at least part of it, is that sylvans are syvlans because of the pk powers the cabal confers. To me this sounds like a "whine". Yes, syvlan powers are quite powerful, but are limited to where you can use them (ever try to call a beast on the eastern rd?). Master's powers are also quite the thing. Yes, we've all seen logs of some mage running aorung with 1500 to 2000 hp, Empire has numbers (at least that's the premise). So I think he's just bitter at being beaten down. And that's fine, but then to complain seems a bit trite. I mean if you are on the end of a rager's deathblow and take an UNSPEAK does that mean deathblow needs toning down? No, it just means you were unprepared and probably a little unlucky. If that felar raiding for the orb gets whacked by the archmage's nova, does that mean nova is skewed, no.
This goes for warder powers as well. There are situations where a given power is quite effective and situations where this is not the case. So, avoid the former.
Be prepared and relaize that the pack has huge numbers currently. When the war is on, you'll die a little and not because the powers are awesome. When master is up and the pack down it will flip-flop... I really don't think the powers are any more compelling than masters or ragers. Versus Empire, yes. But Empire is supposedly a strength by numbers outfit. BTW, I've never seen it taking 9 times for someone to flee out of thorns. Bad luck? Maybe he was "uncomfortable"? *cackle* To sum it up, walking into a room that is snared, walled with a waylaying ranger is bad news. But so is running into a fully preped master mage with 1500 hp. Oh, a last thought, I think the most reason ppl think sylvans are overpowered is becasue the cabal goes out and kills defilers and it's easier to blame your death on these "superpowers" rather than just being caught with your pants down. I mena don;t ppl bitch when the Empire is strong and it's impossibel to rank unless you are oathed? Same dynamic here. Hehe, just don't stray into the woods and you'll be fine :)
