In Reply to: When, oh when has the Char Board transformed into a graveyard? Really people! You have a true graveyard now, use that one!! posted by Someone who was expecting more roles, descs, tales, legendary quests and, in general, more RPing on the char board. on December 19, 2000 at 08:44:39:

Generally speaking, there will be no RP on the char board. You see, this is an OOC forum and attempts at bringing roleplay here are both pathetic and silly. This being said, it's generally a given that "legendary quests" are not going to A)be started B)end or C)EXIST here on the Char Board. You see, that's what the game is for. Now tales, a legitimate form of entertainment that could feasibly be shared here on the Char Board, are a different matter. However, since there are no "rewards" for sharing tales here on the Char Board, save for perhaps having them archived (see the archive), it is much more likely that any epics would be shared within the game itself...very likely within the Inn during a taletelling contest.

Descriptions and Roles are shared here often, usually in conjunction with a deletion, so you have no reason to complain about their non-existence. Generally speaking, it's A)not wise B)pretty stupid and C)unintelligent to share descriptions or roles of current or future characters (see the posts by that nimrod who calls himself the Savior of Dwarves*Grist was it?*). Descriptions and Roles that have been shared here in the past, have received little readership, because well, because people just aren't interested in roles and descriptions unless they can connect them with a character that they interacted with.

In conclusion, it is safe to assume that the char board is being used in the manner that the VIP staff and Dioxide had intended. If the official Graveyard is not taking off in the manner that the imms had hoped we cannot help it. People are free to use either method...it has become clear which method people prefer.

Thank you, and buh-bye
