role + Life was good for Ingryd and Omonor Al'Rosai, they were lovers
role + learning quickly on their way to becoming heroes within their
role + respective guilds. Ingryd was a simple healer, devoted to spreading
role + the word of Selric, trying her best to lead a peaceful life and get
role + those around her to do the same. Omonor was a shaman of Shokai,
role + doing all he could to rid the lands of the evil taint.

role + They'd been married for only two weeks and had been learning together
role + for twice that when they came upon a crazy elven conjurer. They were trying
role + to get an exploration party together to journey into some of the more
role + dangerous corners of the world, but it didn't take them long to realize
role + that their elven companion would likely be their undoing. The elf,
role + seemingly possessed by some evil taint, decided to conjure a demon from
role + the Abyss with only the weakest of celestial circles. Ingryd and Omonor
role + pleaded with the elf not to bring the dreaded demon from the Abyss, that
role + it should remain where it was condemned to, but the elf summoned it
role + anyhow. The demon arrived wailing with delight, an emerald glimmer of
role + light sparking in its eyes. The circle kept him from attacking the elf
role + who stood safely nearby, but the demon turned it ferocity on Ingryd.
role + She staggered backwards, trying her best to fend of the fiend, but to
role + no avail. The demon quickly subdued her with a paralyzing grip upon her
role + throat. Omonor did his best to aid her but his axe and prayers
role + were no match for the spells and unmatched ruthlessness of the demon.
role + It wasn't long before he lay unconscious in a pool of his own blood,
role + knocked out by a vicious strike from the demon's fist.
role +
role + His opposition defeated he turned upon the whimpering storm giant healer
role + in his left hand. She was gasping for air and struggling against the
role + demon's grip. Laughing maniacally the demon shredded her clothing and
role + forced himself upon her, filling her with his tainted seed. His deed
role + complete he returned to the Abyss laughing violently, the echoes of which
role + rang loud throughout the land. Ingryd clawed at her stomach as the
role + demon's seed took root. A sickening bubbling in her gut made her vomit.
role + Moments later she lay dead on her back, the demon-spawn having burst from
role + her stomach with an evil shriek. By this time Omonor had come to and with
role + a few short prayers he subdued the "child." It looked like your average
role + storm giant, save for two large bulges on his back and the small horns on
role + either side of his forehead. His left hand was also disfigured, having only
role + three fingers that had ominous claws protruding from the tips.

role + Omonor wrapped the defeated spawn in a net and took him to the shrine of
role + Shokai where he prayed for his Lord to remove the taint from the poor child.
role + Lord Shokai appeared and exorcized the demon, allowing the child to act on
role + its own accord.
role +
role + Omonor, saddened by the loss of his wife and sickened by the thought of this
role + thing he had altruistically rescued, gave the child to Jaragh to take care of
role + in his orphanage. At first Jaragh was frightened by the child, the horns
role + being the main problem, but the goodness of his heart overcame and he took in
role + the boy. The child, who he named Imbrogno, spent much of his time with
role + Bladerunner. He did this because the other boys and girls of the orphanage
role + either made fun of him or were afraid of him. Bladerunner, having had to
role + deal with all kinds during the course of his duty, saw nothing wrong with the
role + boy and treated him as he would any other. Bladerunner's compassion wouldn't
role + be lost on Imbrogno who promised him that he would do all in his ability to
role + enforce law and order.

role + Imbrogno was drawn to the shaman's guild, possibly because he remembered the
role + defeat he suffered at the hands of one and wanted some of that power for
role + himself. The shaman guildmaster, learning of his desire to enforce the law
role + and the order it provided directed Imbrogno towards the shrine of Nepenthe.

role + The exorcism rid Imbrogno of the evil desires of the demon-father, but it
role + did nothing for the physical deformities and general weirdness. Imbrogno
role + often speaks in tongues and does things that normal mortals would likely
role + find revolting such as self-mutilation and cannibalism. He feels the need
role + to eat every body part that he separates from the corpse of its owner,
role + regardless of its nutritious qualities. He has chosen order, not only out
role + of gratitude for what Bladerunner did for him when he was just a boy, but to
role + counterbalance the chaos of his internal being. His body and soul are by no
role + means normal and he hates himself for it at times. Were everything about him
role + orderly he would fit in more easily, command more respect, and not be subject
role + to as much ridicule.

role + There was a time when Imbrogno would have never considered travelling with an
role + an elven conjurer. Afterall, look at the pain that one single conjurer had
role + caused him. However, after travelling with a conjurer known as Phabien, it
role + became apparent that not all conjurers were cursed with a chaotic and vile
role + nature.
role +
role + A great dream was fulfilled when Imbrogno was raised to the position of Elder.
role + His role in the defense of order was greatly increased with this promotion and
role + he realized just how strong of a component of law he really was. There was only
role + one goal left to fulfill...to become a great priest of Order, a marked follower
role + of Lord Nepenthe.

role + As in most cases, age and knowledge has brought more enemies. Imbrogno hopes
role + that the blind hatred he is witnessing is as a result of his affiliations with
role + the Arbiters, afterall, that's to be expected. Were he to find out that some
role + of it had to do with his looks, or what he once was, he'd likely crack under the
role + pressure and fly into a blind rage.
role +
role + The demons of chaos seem to abound from every corner. Not even the Haven of
role + the Dawn is free from their taint, which not only saddens Imbrogno, but makes
role + him angry as well. Their Apostle, Chaldaie has even succumbed to their vile
role + corruption, leaving Imbrogno questioning their worth. The village is a cesspool
role + of chaos, moreso than the Circle of Chaos even, mainly due to the demon-spawn
role + Minalcar and his chaotic ways. There is dissension in their ranks though, and
role + Imbrogno sees it. Any time one so deeply effected by the demons of chaos takes
role + control of a group of people more harm is caused than good. Their numbers have
role + dwindled and some have admitted that they disagree with their leader's actions.
role +
role + Middle-age has reared it ugly head and Imbrogno sees his life in terms of days
role + left rather than as a vast expanse of future. He has become somewhat jaded,
role + seeing many around him as harborers of the demons. The Alliance of Order has
role + brought some relief for his weariness, forcing the barbarians to fall back
role + somewhat and allowing him to focus more clearly on his duties as an arbiter. He
role + has enjoyed his arbitership and at this point would not give it up for anything.
role + He does yearn for something more, though he does not yet know what other things
role + he could pursue. A trip into Hell is likely, as he has yet to face his father.
role +
role + Life takes so many odd turns as its river heads towards the sea. Imbrogno was
role + named a "foe of the light" by the fool paladin Svyatopolk, though nothing has
role + come of it. It's likely that Imbrogno knows more about the light and the dark
role + than Svyatopolk ever would, having been the harborer of both at some point in
role + his life. The fool paladin tried to align the Haven and the Marans against him
role + but neither has embraced his declaration.

role + The village has faltered and failed. Few come from their huts to face what has
role + increasingly become inevitable death. If they do bare their faces its all as
role + one, showing great fear and lack of courage as they embrace safety that comes in
role + numbers. It's sad really, that a group once mighty and nearly unstoppable
role + crumbled due to lack of leadership. The prophecies of the demon-spawn Minalcar
role + were right, the village would fail without a leader to guide them by the hand.

role + Imbrogno and Quintius, his lord, have become nearly inseparable, a relationship
role + tied by duty has blossomed into so much more.
role +
role + After the wake Imbrogno began to feel ill. A terrible bubbling in his gut
role + often doubled him over. To make matters worse Imbrogno began to realize what
role + he was becoming, a man full of anger and rage, nothing like the child newly
role + exorcised and ready to make a difference. The ragers and their endless lack
role + of dedication, snobbish Servants with holier than thou attitudes, demons of
role + chaos lurking around every corner, the looming trip into the Hells...all of
role + this was combining to overcome Imbrogno's once strong defenses, which were
role + now withering leaving him vulnerable...too vulnerable.

role + The illness felt by Imbrogno turned into be the demons of chaos working their
role + way back into his weakened soul. Luckily, complete possession was prevented
role + by another exorcism, again presided over by Lord Shokai. After a brief
role + discussion shokai rid Imbrogno of his demons, freeing him of the pent up anger
role + and frustration and leaving him at peace. The exorcism did not come without
role + a price however, as Shokai left him with a decision to make. Embrace order
role + or step entirely into the light. While Imbrogno was recovering from the
role + event a feeling rushed through him. He felt as though he was missing something
role + though he could not understand what. The road that lay ahead of him was
role + split in two. Order and Light. He would seek Nepenthe for help with the
role + decision.
