I'd say...in 3-4 years of playing, anywhere from no hours a day (rare) to 2-3 hours a day (normal) to 8-10 hours a day (insane power ranking)....a lot > I did try Everquest and it is appealing for the graphics and because on the PK site, no one can pk for shit but I can because of all my CF experience :) I came back after I realized how boring it was getting. > 3) The ideal behind Muds and text-based muds will never disappear for one simple reason: the game is our imagination. No one tells us exactly how everything looks, but we can imagine it. Until technology can create virtual worlds where you can walk literally around, muds will always win, because we walk around in our minds, not our monitor. Probably, but the more I grow up, the more of a less addiction it will become, and more of a hobby. CF has seriously helped me learn how to describe things, imagine, and generally have a funner outlook on life because of the interaction you can have in an imaginary world. > I did divide the time for awhile, but slowly turned to CF, because the graphical Pay-muds just aren't up to par yet. > 6) I was actually forced by a girlfiend to quit for some time (I did still secretly) because she believed I was spending too much time on the game and not enough time with her. It came down to "me or the game", and with a bunch of other factors I had to say goodbye. because of CF? hell no, but because CF is a hobby and was done with friends, and there has to be a balance in your life with friends and girlfriends, etc. They have to realize, that's your fun get-away time. *shrug* >

I've never conisdered mudding for a career, but I am writing this from my job, which when i get bored, or the web page is compiling (FLASH), I stop by and check up on life, or move around my practicing guy.

Good luck and I've done a paper to, if your interested in seeing it. Quite large, something like 15 pages. Mostly the affects and such
