Also, I'm curious. Do you really think a lot of time was put into developing this class just so immortals could log in and know something mortals didn't? Nepenthe and Sebeok and a few other immortals are working their asses off tweaking this class right now (and have been). Conjurers are fairly different than the standard classes and there are a lot of combinations of spells, servitors, states that are difficult to track given asynchronous input into the system and a hell of a lot of variables. I personally think they've done an in-fucking-credible job getting the code as stable as it is (yeah, it still crashes now and then when something we didn't think of occurs) given the fact that we do this shit FOR fun, FOR you people, even when we don't particularly feel like it. Christ.
Ideally the players and the implementers make some sort of team in which we all try to make this a better game in some way. Why has it really NEVER felt that way? There's maybe a handful of players that are interested in pointing out things we need to fix in a respectful way. There's maybe a handful of players that really make quests enjoyable to run and aren't jumping in with stupid shit like "heh, this mob's talking! what immo are you?" There's maybe a handful of players that aren't interested in bitching about every single thing that is implemented on the MUD. Is it really that hard to believe that we created this thing because we cared about making a quality game? Do you really think we're trying to inflate our own egos by implementing new things? If so, why play here? Really. Why?
I'll comment on what you're writing. If you were going to test a new class to see what was too weak, what was too powerful, who would you pick to test it? Newbies? Players that don't know their ass from a hole in the ground? Would you pick all player-killers? Would you pick all role-players?
