I have heard alot about Pikel lately. I have not talked to him, or read the book from which he came. But, to all of you who defend him, you haven't a leg to stand on. He is not an original character no matter how well he is portrayed, period. Most people wouldn't get the chance to show how good they can imitate a character in a book because they would be denied without an interview. These people who must come up with original names and concepts have legitimate gripes about someone who didn't. Now, you can opine that people are overeacting to someone being allowed to break rules when they can't, but to say "go F yourself" when they point this out is a tad over the top.
