i am going to give my opinion on why these things and similar things shouldnt be given.

the directions for chessmaster:

if you give the directions everyone will read them and know the exact location witout any effort,and that good place for ranking will just be filled with people and will stop being any good,filled with pkers and other persons ranking.
the same goes to other possibles places of ranking.

now, the scarabs powers:
if these powers are given everyone will start discussing them to each other will see ways to beat the powers and they wont be of use and completely loose the element of surprise while using them.

Say no!!,to giving away info,you have that power.
