> Now, I've seen the little warder gangbangs you guys have so don't try to deny it. I've seen Arantomir(now-gone), Hilaene, and others beating some poor master down for shits and giggles, even though that master wasn't in a forest at the time. Remember that defilers are supposed to be dealt with harshly. I have yet to > I've seen you and Arantomir killing Ropitier(oddly an elven master) down in Aridhol, even though in all liklihood Ropitier has never harmed a forest creature. I'll say to you the "dumbing down" you talk about is not the case with the Warders. > I know what you mean, I've dealt with people like that as well. I think the root of the problem is the ineffectiveness of the sylvan powers in doing ANYTHING to protect nature. I've been calling for a change of their powers forever now. I think it's time for imms to realize that a bard making the mobs flee is a damn joke. Shaman that frenzy a mob is a damn joke. Rangers that herb and armor a mob is a damn joke. None of this is going to stop that mobs death, unless in some freak event you happen to scare say a dryad into a devil's huntsman. CHANGE THE POWERS FOR PETE'S SAKE! Take out windwalk and beast call and put in two different PROTECTIVE powers. What do you suggest? Honestly, I think that success in protecting a low level mob would Think about the story line. Twist open declaration to have nature stamp out. The instruments > I'm going to go ahead and disagree here, because I don't think there should be any set "Sylvan RP". I don't think there should be any set "Master RP" or any set RP period. As long as you roleplay SOMETHING that doesn't contradict any of the Sylvan "rules" then I think you'll be doing a fine job. I agree there shouldn't be anything "set in stone", but there are things to look for. People > Now this is funny and I've already addressed part of it above. Sylvan might not think there's a "war" with masters, but you sure as hell don't go out of your way to avoid conflict. How many times have I seen a band of sylvan attack a master in Galadon even when it's not directly related to a raid? I don't think sylvan should ever take an aggressive standpoint, and should only attack in retaliation for something that happened recently. For example, masters take the sapling so you go take it back and kill anybody that gets in your way. I do not, however, think a sylvan should take the orb or codex. Once you have your tree you should retreat back into the forests and protect nature again. Again though, you'd probably be chastised for not wanting to take any kind of aggressive role because of the dumbing down of the Theran cabals in general. I've covered this as well, and I somewhat agree, and somewhat disagree. Has there I can see why Pikel might irk you, but he is seriously a boat load of fun
see a Master that hasn't attacked a Warder. If there was a Master who didn't
defile or attack other Warders more than likely I would leave them alone.
As I'll probably point out again there is no war against magic.
But you can't state that for a fact that Ropitier hasn't defiled or attacked
another Warder. You can't say for sure whether or not he's attempted/succeeded
in taking the sapling. I've watched this elf for some time. I haven't seen him
defile or attempt to take the sapling. I've attempted to have conversations with
him, but like the majority of Masters he's unwilling to do so.
> I've no doubt you all are close, but I don't think there is much room for interpretation in the cabal anymore. Everything has become so cut and dry. Like it has been said before, EVERY cabal has been dumbed down a lot. You only see one kind of master these days, those that hate nature. You only see one kind of rager these days, those that gangbang and kill mages without ever saying anything but "Die mage!" to them.
I see so many people come to me spouting the help file that I actually have to
motivate myself to do interviews. I do think that the character who comes before
me should have to fundamental view points, and do so according to his or her own
story. There are some things I want to see because to me it's difficult to understand
what it means to be a Warder without them. If I don't see them, I do make an effort
to "open their eyes". Remember also that being an arcane muter, I get the opportunity
to see what you are up to without you knowing it. The chat is only part of the package.
not be too different if I had some ability to heal it. If you give everyone the ability
to use a facsimile of the commune heal would that really change things much with a well
armed low level group? You couldn't give them anything much stronger than that. If you
suggest some sort of protection power that reduces damage done is that going to do a whole
lot? What would keep Warders from casting it on each other. If they were able to you know
people would complain.
> I don't know about thought-provoking, but I'll concede the rest. My problem is that sylvan is as laid back as it used to be. Thera already has several cabals that are intense "seek and destroy" cabals. Sylvan was a nice change, and wasn't lame like Dawn is. There's no doubt in my mind that a sylvan would be chastised if all they ever did or wanted to do was protect the forest and not get involved in the wars, but that's exactly what the young sylvan was. Stay out of the wars and protect the forest. Those days are gone. Now you always hear "[Sylvan] WarderA: 'MasterX on Eastern Road, who can harm him?'" Everybody has to be so aggressive these days. *mutter*
of this stomping are the Masters and his followers. The other facet is the burning of FON.
Why wouldn't a Warder deal with a defiling Master harshly?
who join groups for a cause have similar beliefs, and outlooks but usually come from different
back grounds and experiences. Why should this be any different for a cabal in CF?
been a non-drow/duergar Master who didn't defile (attack a Warder, defile nature or
take the sapling)?
> *slaps his palm to his forehead* You mean he actually says "doo dad"???? *groans* Swiping a name is one thing, not talking straight is another, but when you start copying mannerisms and words directly things gotta stop! Christ, does he have a green beard to?!?!?
to be around. I enjoy the time I spend around this guy. Ask anyone who's
dealt with him, and I'll gamble that most feel the same.
