While alot of what you say makes sense, i simply remind you to watch the balance. It is easy to think that paladins are under par, but i dont believe this is the case, its simply a matter of people not wanting to do empowerment, and them not having any decent cabal to go too. There is also some dominance to evil because of this.
Excluding cabals, paladin vs each other class, i think paladins are quite balanced.
Of course i cant comment on the power of your new ideas since you never really know until they are put in action.
