It's from Braveheart, and if I'm not mistaken, the king wannabe from scotland also said "fuck you" a couple times to his father (and if in actuallity he didn't, he could and would be in character for him to say so).
Point being I agree with you and believe swearing always was part of human speech since... our ancestors learned to speak?!?
