My ap would know who hates magic and who doesn't because my mage asked around...that's about the extent of it.
My mage benefits because my ap just wiped up some folks who might also hope to destroy rebellion against magic. So it fits in with both roles.
This is basically the same thing as having a hero char in Arbiters and in Empire. Your Empire char benefits from the fact that a few hours earlier your arbiter char took the equation.

Now let's keep in mind that I'm actually not doing this, though I'm damn close to rolling the ap up as we speak as I still can't find a fucking person to rank with.
