One thing I've noticed while reading roles is the write-a-quick-paragraph-every-login (WAQPEL) syndrome. Now I don't want to discourage anyone from adding to their role (in fact the only writing a role at level 1 and never touching the command again is another crime all together in many cases), but I think that in many cases this syndrome causes very long roles that don't need to be nearly so long. Symptoms often include adding a role entry nearly every day like the following:

Today I grewped wid Jimbo and Mary. They were good company. We killed trolls. I eight some beef jerky. Mmm...I love beef jerky. See you tomorrow, diary.


Like I said, adding to your role is good. However, you can see that a role filled with entries like the above could quickly become a long, bad role.

(I'm not saying Ingvar's role was a long, bad role.)
