Yes, the Cult is made up almost exclusivly from mages. And battle should definitly hunt down and kill these mages at any given time. However, I don't know of any reason why they would have a problem with the Cult and their beliefs. You don't see Battle raiding Arbiter or Entropy because they accept mages. I think one should only attack a Cabal for the item when the Cabal has "sinned" against their beliefs. And if a person in the cabal has "sinned"...then kill the person. They should be two seperate issues.
