First, you're very wrong about bards being less of a fighter than anti-paladins. I'd much rather play a songless bard than a spellless anti-paladin. I'd trade bash and third attack for dodge and roundhouse, simple as that.

As for bards being in battle, I don't necessarily have a problem with it. However, I do think that they should be extremely limited in numbers. I can't see the justification for more than 2 battlerager bards. Many armies in history have used drummers and so forth to to head the marching procession, both to keep tempo and to strike fear into the opposition.

As far as their songs go, it's kind of iffy. I can see all of them except for wild west wind and fire and ice. Here is my reasoning. Fire and Ice would be ok if it weren't for the fire and iceballs. Fiery/Icy illusion and Fiery/Frigid Doom are both things that could be more mental than physical, whereas the balls are purely physical in nature. Wild West Wind is also physical. All of the others songs I feel would be ok.
