Where I see you being mistaken here is in your belief that only "newbies" want to learn, or are interested in exploring, etc.
I could not disagree with you more. Simply because someone may have played a master or many masters before does not make his dedication to *this* character any less. In fact, it may make this master *more* so because he has already done many of the more obvious character types in the cabal.

What annoys me about your interviews mostly is that you expect someone to know how/why nature in fact inhibits magic. You ask what does nature do. They respond it inhibits magic. It keeps magic from being as powerful/controllable/etc as it could be. You ask for examples. They tell you that magic makes magic have a shorter duration, or be limiited to a specific size.

But THEN you ask *how* it does it, as if there has been some enlightenment from the Gods or some PhD has come and explained it. There is no real explanation for why nature (in whatever form it may be, energy speaking) does what it does to "mana" or "magic". That would be like "physics for magic" and that's not really part of this world. I don't mind you getting in depth and taking as much time talking to applicants as you want, but talk to them about things that have actual explanations, or *admit* that there is no real answer and ask what they think *might* be the reason, and then maybe ask why.

But to do it as you do it now, where you act as though you have the answer and expect them to come up with what you yourself have created as an rp explanation for some things, is wrong, imho.

Again, this does not mean I think you are a bad leader, or are bad at the entire process of interviewing. But we are focusing on the bad parts in order, hopefully, to change them.
