All of your suggestions came down to this: getting outside help to fight the rager. Getting a conjurer to help. Getting charmies. Etc. What that means is that the powers of the invoker class are not enough to fight. And that's exactly what I've been saying. Charmies are necro powers and conjurer powers. It is not part of the invoker class. Sure, anyone can go get a mob charmie, but if you are saying that you have to rely on that, rather than all the powers, skills, spells, of a class, then you are saying that that class is not able to deal with something on its own. And that is what is wrong and shows a lack of balance. Q.E.D. > > Nobody is referringto tactics or strategies or whatever. We are discussing > Because you are too lazy to employ tactics doesn't mean we should not be referring to them. You're saying you can't take advantage of the fact that ragers are thirsting? So in other words, you're only going to fight where they can maximize their powers. For a berserker, ideally you would want a wide open area free from mobs that you could thirst around. Come walking in with charmies (and there are enough items in the game that an invoker who actually employs strategies other than spamming geyser and suddenly you've got a rager who can't concentrate on you. > Can't be bothered to amass that army? Then make the rager fight you in the place of your choosing. Considering your last days were spent getting a conjurer to nightgaunt someone between the barrow-wight and quicksand, I would think that you would be able to expand on that. > Basically, you want to be able to swoop down upon anyone and everyone wherever they are and kill them with little or no preparation other than a few shields, transform, and a spell to spam. And in your arrogance, you walk into a nest of enemies who have an ambush set up.
