After reading the Arcanes Paladin Role below, I find myself wondering if the Paladin role I was considering is abit too fantastic. I find that I have this thing for writing these High Fantasy bordering on Mythlike roles for my characters. I was wondering if these are taken less seriously then the semi realistic more true to life roles Like the Arcanes? I mean mine would be something like, my character started life as a statue in the temple of Pico, It sat there for millena then one day the bored god breathed life into it and sent it on it's merry way. Or my character was a simple peasant until one day he stumbled upon the Orb of Shadow, the Orb of Shadow being a crystal ball containing a portion of the old Shadow Torches flame. It granted him the powers of Magic but in return slowly possessed him the longer he held it.
My roles always seem to have to be these EPIC tales that have Gods, Demons, and Artifacts of power included in them in some way.
So my question is, in general do the Gods favor the more realisitic roles, or does it basically just depend on how well your role is written?

*ORB* Who can't decide if he should rewrite his Paladin role before he starts the character because it's the most Out there yet....
